For Danish salmon fishing, 12'6 class 7 and 8 are particularly excellent choices for the Storåen , Skjern and Ribe, but also 11'6 class 7 is a delicious rod for everything from Karup, the Kongeåen to Varde.
The 14 foot #9 is 6-part but costs the same as the other models and this makes it the absolute most attractive 14' in the entire Nordic region.

The Sage Spey R8 also comes in 4 different 13's from class 6 to 9 and these really work as rods that cover most fishing in the north.

INTUITIVE PERFORMANCE
An effective Spey cast relies on the efficient transfer of energy in each of the three key components: lift, load and delivery. The use of our Sage Revolution 8 graphite technology throughout the entire length of the two-handed rod taper results in a rod with an unmatched ability to capture, carry and transfer the power of the fly cast. The energy produced during the cast and transferred directly to the rod is transferred exclusively to the line, so Spey casters don’t have to compensate for lost energy or imprecise rod responses. With the SPEY R8, casts are smooth, instinctive and consistent.

LIFTING
Sufficient stiffness and power are needed to lift heavy sink tips, lines and large flies out of the water, but responsiveness is also key to ensuring that no effort is wasted; when the angler starts to move the rod, the line and fly move too. At the same time, it is crucial to minimize blade weight to reduce fatigue.

LOAD
While sustained and airborne Spey casts generate their energy in different ways, in both cases the rod must be loaded sufficiently to turn the sink tip or leader, the tip and the fly the desired distance. R8Technology maximizes the amount of energy collected in sweep or touch-and-go movements, feeding the energy into the D-Loop and transferring it smoothly to the rod.

DELIVERY
To effectively deliver the fly to its target, enough energy must be transferred from the loaded rod to the Spey line.
