Originally, "Spey Cock" feathers from roosters in Scotland's Spey River Valley were ideal, but their scarcity led to the development of a "genetic" Spey Hackle stock with long barbs, no webbing, and excellent durability. This Pro Grade cape features feathers approximately 5-12 cm long, suitable for body hackle or tail use. Each patch measures around 25 cm, providing great value for fly tiers.
