The best fly lines for the coast - if you ask us
The best fly lines for the coast are those that can withstand some wind and that release the line relatively quickly.
This means that the lump should not be too long so that you can quickly load the rod, but if the lump is too short, it is not possible to achieve maximum length on the cast.
We are particularly happy with WF lines, as modern lines often cast about as far as a shooting head , but they are easier to use - even when it's cold.
It is also important to note that the vast majority of fish are caught quite close to shore, it is not at all necessary to cast 25 meters every time.
We particularly recommend the Scientific Anglers Volantis lines which cast fantastically and have an incredibly smooth and strong coating. This is built as an integrated shooting head with running and has a reinforced part where the line slides most through the eyes during casting.
Arctic Silver's Compact Short is another line worth mentioning, this has quickly become our best-selling WF line for coastal fishing.

A good fly line for the coast is a line that makes your fishing enjoyable.
When you go for long periods of time and make many casts, it is crucial that the line is suitable for the type of fishing you do.
If you are going to cast a large foam beetle, it is important to have a line that can turn and carry the fly.
If, on the other hand, you are going to fish with small tang imitations, it is more important that you can cast and present the fly.
Which fly line to the shore
If we only had to choose one density for our fly line for the coast, it would be a floating fly line.
This option does not exclude anything. You can fish with foam beetles , small seaweed fleas and hoverflies - completely without any hassle.
