The ultimate wader size guide

After Daniel spent too many hours doing crossfit, he became unsure about exactly what size Simms waders he should use.

That's why we had the idea to create a size guide that anyone who needs new waders can use.

In this blog post, you will also find our "Wader Size Guide" as a video.

Find your measurements - this is crucial for choosing a size.

There are 2 measurements that are really important when you are researching which waders to use.

One is "largest waist measurement". So don't try to be nice to yourself and measure your waist, there should be room for your entire body in your waders. This wader size guide is here to help, and we promise that there are also waders for big men.

Once you have measured your own circumference, it is time to measure your stride length. It is measured from the groin to the bottom of the foot.

In our opinion, the inseam length is extremely important, because one of the big reasons why we sell Simms waders is that their fit is eminently good.

Size guide waders - the size of your socks

You can't make a Simms wader size guide without looking at the foot size.

Typically, you can choose between socks (shoe size) in 9-11 and 11-13.

9-11 cover sizes 42-44, and 11-13 cover 44-46.

When choosing your shoe size, you should allow for a thick sock, although Simms waders already come with an excellent neoprene sock.

Remember to leave some extra space

When you measure yourself, you need to remember one thing: You will be wearing several layers of clothing.

When you measure yourself (or get your significant other to help you), be aware that you can't fish on the outer coast in a T-shirt all year round. Remember to make room for a few mid-layers so you don't get too cramped in the waist.
