Golden pheasant is highly used as hackle for salmon flies, and here we can mention three flies that Daniel has had great success with in recent years: Astrid, Tilda, and Horst Sock. Additionally, both the tip and crest feather from the golden pheasant head are essential components of many classic and traditional salmon flies. Flies worth mentioning in this context are Allys Shrimp and Gp, both of which are incredibly beautiful classic patterns that still catch a lot of fish.
